Harley's New Street Glide 3 Limited Makes 500-Mile Days Look Easy

For riders who love long-distance touring but are ready for the stability of three wheels, the redesigned 2026 Harley-Davidson Street Glide 3 Limited may be one of Harley's most interesting new motorcycles.

The biggest improvement is underneath it.

Harley completely redesigned the rear suspension, replacing the traditional setup with a new de Dion-style system. Rear wheel travel jumps from just 2.3 inches to 5 inches, while unsprung weight drops by an impressive 68 pounds. The result is designed to deliver a smoother, more controlled ride over rough pavement—exactly the kind of improvement you appreciate after several hundred miles in the saddle.

Power comes from Harley's Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117, giving the big trike plenty of torque for highway cruising and passing. There's also a redesigned Batwing fairing, vented lowers, heated rider and passenger seats, heated grips, an improved electric reverse system and Harley's massive 12.3-inch Skyline OS touchscreen.

But the real story isn't the technology.

It's what the Street Glide 3 Limited represents.

A lot of longtime riders eventually reach a point where holding up a heavy touring motorcycle at a stop—or worrying about dropping it in a parking lot—starts taking some of the fun out of riding. A trike removes much of that concern without giving up the Harley touring experience.
